Even if most Pac-12 fans long for those days
I do think they could still be appeased if the ESPN family of networks would televise some Pac-12 games in the 7:30pm EST time slot. The way ESPN has structured its Saturday program, you could make a case that the Big Ten has control (monopoly?) over the noon time slot, no one has control over the mid-afternoon time slots, and SEC has control (monopoly?) over the 7:30pm and 7:45pm time slots. While the ACC and Big XII are sprinkled throughout the day.
From that perspective I can understand why Pac-12 fans may think they should have a monopoly of a time slot especially if ESPN gives the Big Ten and SEC one. If I was a Pac-12 fan, then I might think that the ACC or Big XII doesn't deserve a monopoly of a time slot especially since neither conference has their own network. Even though critics may say the P12N a disaster and it has been up to this point, Pac-12 fans can rebuttal by saying that it is fault of the commissioner's office and always chime in with "but at least we have a network which is better than having no network."
